Today's the Day! Come on out to the Sobeys location in Thornhill (Clark and Hilda) anywhere between 11am and 5pm and help make a difference in the lives of children. The Children's Studies Student Association will be tabling all day collection donations of baby food and other non-perishable food items for donation to a local food bank. Come out and help make a difference!

Calling all Children's Studies Majors and
Minors!
On December 3rd from 2:30-4:30 there will
be a poster presentation in ACE 013. Featured at this event are the results of
child centered research completed by the 3rd year Children's Studies
Students in HUMA 3695. Please come out and learn about the research process and
the different ways we incorporated ethics and different methodologies
into these projects.

CHSTSA has been very busy over the last few days and are exicited to share our latest news!
Office Space:
CHSTSA has just been granted an office space in Vanier College 028. Until the end of this semester (Dec. 3) there will be drop in office hours on Mondays and Tuesdays. All peer mentoring will now take place in the office and as always is available by appointment. Please see the Office Hours tab for more information.
Volunteer Opportunities:
CHSTSA has created a new volunteer oppertunitiy for its members to get involved and help advocate for children this holiday season! On Thursday December 6th CHSTSA will be tabling outside of the Sobey's Grocery Store (Located at Clark and Atkinson) collecting donations of baby food and other non-perishable items for the local food bank. Baby food is one of the most needed, but least commonly donated items in food banks. If you would like to participate in this event email yorkchstsa@gmail.com to sign up for a time to table. Come out and help make a difference!

Hello Children’s Studies Students!
Mark your calendars!
CHSTSA will be hosting a Children’s Studies Meet-and-Greet on Tuesday, October 23rd from 2:30-5pm!
It will take place in Founders College Assembly Hall (FC 152).
Feel free to drop in at any time between 2:30-5pm to hang out with friends, meet new people in the program, enjoy food and refreshments and participate in CUPCAKE DECORATING!
This is also a great place to learn about the other fantastic child-related organizations at York and learn how get involved!
Everyone is welcome, so feel free to bring friends!

Since the Children's Studies Student Association is a NEW
club this year it needs a NEW logo!
The Children's Studies Student Association is looking for a
logo that embodies the spirit and uniqueness of our program. Something that
captures our students and their commitment to bettering the lives of children
around the globe. We are looking for an eye-catching and unique logo that can

Summer is coming to an end and pretty soon the school year will be upon us. Coming up soon on August 30th at 1:30pm is the Vanier college academic orientation for incoming first year students. Members of the CHSTSA executive council will be present to meet new students and answer questions about the children's studies program and student association.
